Gerard Deulofeu plunged to win a punishment as Watford beat Chelsea 4-1 in the Premier League, said goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Thibaut Courtois blamed Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu for jumping to win a punishment as Chelsea were whipped 4-1 at Vicarage Road in the Premier League.

Chelsea were at that point down to 10 men after Tiemoue Bakayoko was demonstrated two yellow cards by arbitrator Mike Dean in the space of five minutes.

Before long, Deulofeu went through on objective and tumbled over the onrushing Courtois, Dean indicated the spot and Watford commander Troy Deeney crushed in the spot-kick to give his side the lead.

Eden Hazard leveled for Chelsea before late objectives from Daryl Janmaat, Deulofeu and Roberto Peyreya wrapped up a noteworthy triumph for the Hornets - Javi Gracia's first responsible for the club.

Be that as it may, Courtois was despondent with key choices made by Dean, proposing Deulofeu had deluded the official when he went to ground, and also scrutinizing the choices that prompted Bakayoko's expulsion.

"The red card is light, first never a yellow and the second too light, clearly the punishment is a reasonable jump," Courtois revealed to Sky Sports.

"Recently [in Liverpool and Tottenham's 2-2 draw] we saw when the goalkeeper turns out and is late you make yourself little yet the striker puts his foot there and it's a punishment, each time this will happen. He cleared out his foot and jumps, it's not a punishment.

"I think we as a whole know this sort of players it happens wherever on the planet, this kind of striker sees the goalkeeper desiring the ball, I make myself as little as conceivable with my paunch on the ground and he produces the contact. I'm sad yet I don't believe it's a punishment."

Chelsea have now lost progressive Premier League coordinates by a three-objective edge, heaping the weight on under-flame supervisor Antonio Conte, yet Courtois said it is up to the players to react to their most recent mishap.

"I think we played a decent amusement against Arsenal after new year in spite of the fact that surrendered in a minute ago," the goalkeeper said.

"It's elusive positive outcomes since two misfortunes and we need to discover our frame again and improve.

"We have an extreme month coming up and we have to get focuses, the Champions League [last-16 tie with Barcelona] is coming soon and we need to keep on working."
