Light switch light.

I was in the checkout line at a local store and while waiting my turn I noticed this light.IMG_0406.JPG

I thought it was a cool idea and was less than $5 USD so I picked one up to try out. The light comes with 4 AAA batteries.IMG_0407.JPG

The light has provisions to mount to a wall with screws which is how I installed it.IMG_0408.JPG

The tag on the light claims you can attach it with the built in magnets or the included hook & loop but I found both of these options insufficient as the magnets were too weak to hold the weight of the light and the hook & loop was basically worthless.

Here you can see I have it installed next to the actual light switch for a room in my house. The idea being that in a power outage, I can still easily flip a switch and have enough light to see.IMG_0409.JPG

The LEDs on this unit provide plenty of light for safe navigation in darkness and should last a good amount of time before the batteries need to be changed. For the price you pay, I feel this is a good option that beats using candles which are not as bright and also a fire hazard.

I plan to purchase more of these lights to use in other locations. I would recommend them to anyone.

Stay safe out there.
