Fantastic Post! You have inspired me to get my buns in gear.

Seriously though, I need to stop being silly and get myself in better condition. I'm "little", but... I'm not fit. I'm going to go about changing that Prepper!!

Thanks for telling me what I needed to hear.

Now you've set yourself a challenge! GO FOR IT.
Engage WIP-Motor, buns out of reverse and into 1st gear ..-.. Now your on the roll.
Starting is sometimes the hardest part. Good Luck WG.

Out of all my "preps", this is the most challenging area. I really am trying to make this more of a priority this yr!

Fitness and mobility become more important the older we get. Low level fitness will probably be of more benefit than anything else.
Ultimately you will be glad that you started. You just gotta ignite that fuel with you.

You make some really good points in this post. I really should be walking more than I do. I get caught up in the daily routine around the house and don't think about just taking a walk for the basic exercise. I used to ride a bike a lot, but my knees remind me that I'm not getting any younger... :-)

I know what you mean about creaking joints and the odd ache n pain. None of us are getting any younger so we must adjust. A little goes a long way!
Thanks for stopping by.

Stamina too - running and hours of walking. This is an area where I struggle. I was in tip top shape then life happened including a lung operation that just wiped me out. Took me a long time to fully recover. Getting back into shape now that I've put on some pounds is something I must do. I need to be as strong and energetic as I used to be. Otherwise, everything I share with others is for their survival, not mine. Thanks for this excellent post. Very well presented. I look forward to Part 2!

Yeah the Stamina | Speed | Flexibility | Endurance | Strength aspects will be covered in Part 2, that will be the focus within my Functional Fitness (Prepper Fitness) side of things.
Sounds like you've been through the mill! Hope you're all better now and things are on the 'up'!
Keep going, keep focussed and keep motivated.

Good Luck.

Sounds like I'm really going to benefit from your posts. I bet others are too.
