From the beginning of human life as we know it until the present day, man has had to deal with many unknowns in dealing with the future. The original plan was for man to have total security and to be able to live in the now always."Problems " were encountered and it became necessary to think about tomorrow and the days that came after that. The human species unlike other animals had to learn everything about taking care of himself. He first became a gatherer, collecting that which grew naturally. He then became a hunter of less fortunate animals, fowl and fish. As eons of time past man evolved to the point to where the efforts one human could supply the food and other needs for thousands of others. Even with these huge advances there are parts of the earthly civilization that goes wanting for basic necessities. It is the lack of these necessities that causes groups to rise against group for control of what man needs for the future. Will it ever be any different? I think not.
As time has passed, man has also be come more efficient at waging war. At the start it was hand to hand combat, one on one so to speak. Over time came knives, bow and arrows, catapults, handguns, cannon, wheels, ships, airplanes, missiles, rockets as well as dreaded nuclear devices that may be capable of total destruction of the earth. Will man destroy himself? With his finite knowledge he may very well come close to it. I do think the provider of all life will reserve that decision for himself. What can we as individuals do to preserve the world in which we live? I don't pretend to have the answers. I only have my thoughts.
