Water is essential for survival in an emergency and is often overlooked in prepping. Hurricane victims in Texas and Florida, after the storm had it, were left only with the water in their homes, basically bottled water. And most people keep little of that on hand.
Even for short-term problems such as loss of public water service or a boil order, access to safe, clean, drinkable water is very important. It could mean the difference of at least a very uncomfortable day or two, or maybe worse. Don't let this one part, maybe the most important part, of your emergency kit get overlooked.
Always have access to the thing you literally can't live without - water.

This info post was inspired by another post about third-world countries getting much needed access to water via a new manual drill pump. Very cool. https://steemit.com/life/@addiemae/drinkable-water-for-third-world-countries Made in America no less. I admit, I take for granted clean tap water in my home. Having a way to purify water is not something to skip.
