With all the threats and counter-threats between North Korea and the United States with the DPRK, as well as the country's primary ally, China, attention is focused upon an attack threat scenario that country could actually attempt against the continental U.S. and the North American continent as a whole.
Many military advisors believe it is likely that Kim Jung Un is in control of the means (an ICBM missile system) with a payload consisting of a thermonuclear device that can reach across the Pacific ocean and detonate over America.

But when we DO shoot it down - adamantly declaring we KNEW it was going to impact - a direct threat to American lives - What then? Will we just allow them to keep taking "practice shots" into our yard?
Then whatever we do in response to the situation... Will the Chinese government allow its enslaved population see them "lose face" by NOT responding in aid to their "ally"?
It's a can of worms alright, and any position taken can be construed by those who WANT war as an excuse to wage it. Things, as exemplified in both prior World Wars, can get "out of hand" rather quickly.
To make matters worse, it's often noted that ALL wars are fought for economic reasons. And the current state of the world's economies at this time could not be more precarious. If ANY entity has a stake in starting a major "reset" of the global financial system, it's the world's central banks who know their Ponzi scheme is just about up.

China has stated that if the Norks shoot first that china will not get involved.
If it were me I'd shoot down their missile first...warn S.Korea to take cover..then wipe the Norks off the face of the earth. Total Nuclear Annihilation. Turn the whole country to glass.
