A few minutes ago I was standing in awe of a deer I came across in nature... it was looking at me in suspicion and I was looking at it in curiosity. After a minute or two of gazing at each other, it realized I wasn't a threat to it and relaxed, and continued to do peacefully what it was doing before it noticed my presence; eating. This short moment, and other moments around the island where I have limited access to "otherworldly" entertainment, made me realize how deeply out of sync with nature I am; and how incredibly obsessed I am with doing Something (as the rest of society is). We are so used to this that the average person in a (often) metropolitan, overpopulated city or town doesn't notice it... We are connected through the parasitical dis-ease that the internet is, and we have been conditioned to DO Something or BE Something in particular, as if being what we already are in this moment wasn't good enough (Look up: Symbolism of the Garuda bird in the east). It's a time of Super-Ego inflation, with little time to observe what we are naturally to the core, without effort.
In a way, this frantic lifestyle is like a gigant accurately planned resistance towards death. A resistance towards the natural rhythms, a resistance towards what IS in the NOW, a resistance towards out most animalistic, impulsive, and intuitive inner knowledge. Our lives are controlled by Capitalism and institutions and rules and fake-smiles and facebook-likes and most importantly the illusion of time. And many people don't even understand the illusion of time because it's one of the most powerfully (if not THE most powerful) ingrained illusion of our conditioned minds (hence the resistance towards death)... It's so incredibly simple yet so complicated for our complex ego-consciousness to grasp. Life is absurd, yet beautiful, there is no meaning but the meaning you give it and to just be here. Nobody matters, we are ll gonna die and it's a tragic realization, but if you would just try to stop to fight it and resist it, maybe you'd surrender to the freedom that lies in every single moment... And here is my second point;
...most people think they want freedom (me included), but the vast majority doesn't even realize how chaotic freedom really is. I believe a lot of people are unconsciously afraid of freedom without ever even knowing it (me included). Out complex consciousness drives us to want power, and power is the opposite of freedom. Power has to do with what you can control, freedom has to do with what you can let loose...
Why not challenge yourself?... try out a theatre improvisation class, or let your wildest and darkest sexual fantasies come to life (the shameful ones!) or maybe really loose your mind and paint a painting without Any expectation - and learn to like it... maybe you'll chose to challenge you in some other ways, but these examples put me in contact with truly how difficult it is to set my mind free... but it is possible, if you truly want it that is...
Do you? ...probably not..
I don't think I always do only to a certain degree; We need both chaos and order, but we also need to balance them out, and educate ourselves. In my opinion the world needs more rebellious acts and less obsession with control and structure. We need to get in touch with our true nature and we need to lift the female energy; Realize our innate creative forces. Be open and welcoming to them. Receptive and non-judgemental. For we are all a small cog in a bigger wheel, and we are all temporary visitors anyway...
