Presumed death of Yevgeny Prigojine: the plane crash site filmed by witnesses
Research after the crash of a plane in the Tver region, between Moscow and Saint Petersburg, is underway, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Affairs said on August 23.
Ten victims are currently to be deplored, including three crew members.
Former SMP Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was on board the aircraft, according to Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency , Rosaviatsia, citing airline MNT-Aero LLC. His right arm Dmitri Utkin accompanied him.
The Russian agency said it had “opened an investigation into the circumstances and causes of the air accident involving the Embraer-135 aircraft”. “The plane belonged to the limited liability company OOO MNT-Aero which specializes in private transport and business travel,” the agency added. “At this stage of the investigation, the investigators will also have to find the flight recorders”, she also specified.
