Pride Month!

As we progress in today's time, we become more accepting of things. Now, we are taking a step back with the new president. President Trump is going to hurt our rights in the LGBTQ+ community. We cannot let him! We made so much progress in 2016 that we should only keep going forward in 2017. Not many people understand the struggle it takes to come out to your friends, family, workers, and the world. Some places you could loose your job for being LGBTQ+, you can't use the bathroom with which you identify, and you can still be killed for being LGBTQ+. It is pride month and President Trump is still silent about his involvement for pride month. He doesn't understand the struggle and fighting that the LGBTQ+ community has been through that is shown today in 2017! Being who you are comes with a price, and the fact that President Trump isn't at least showing some support is outrageous! The LGBTQ+ community has been through so much! With AIDS hitting us hard, having to put our sexuality aside to fight for our country, and having to fight for our right to marry who we want. President Trump should at least say something during this month of pride! This month is for all LGBTQ+ people who are proud of who they are, inside or outside the closet. This month is also to honor all those LGBTQ+ people who came before us, who contributed to the rights we have today! This month is for the community. This month is mostly for us!
