The answer is simple.
I don't much care.
The Democrats aren't holding any debates (understandable given they've got the incumbent, though notably he's got huge unfavorability numbers even in his own party), and Biden's two challengers there are considered crazy people by most voters who know who they are. Marianne on policy has become worse than she was last time, Kennedy's support among Democrats are only among people that just like his name and the fact that he ain't Biden, his support from the right aren't voting in his primary, and even if I'd prefer either to Biden, they're also-rans.
Trump isn't participating in debates and still is polling at something like half the votes in a crowded field. His numbers understandably went up from the indictment, given most Republicans (even anti-Trump ones) think it's a political prosecution. Even with two separate courts setting the court dates on super Tuesday, I don't think the Democrats can stop him from getting the GOP nod. I don't even want to say who I like best out of that field, because it's embarrassing. On policy and in a vacuum, I guess Larry Elder might be closest to me, but he's totally cringe. Among the people who can make debates, Nikki Haley is probably the best, and she's a damn neocon.
In the LP, there's one left leaning candidate who I like, personally, but who seems to avoid or at least de-emphasize economic issues when those issues are important to me. There's one right leaning candidate who does focus on economic issues, but he's inflexible, extreme, and sounds callous and heartless when he talks about them. There's one candidate with an embarrassing personal life that I know too much about already, and a couple that are also-rans even for the LP. If Spike or Amash were to run, they wouldn't need my support to win and I might start to care more, but they're not in the race now.
As far as independents, there's, what... Afroman? I interviewed him a few months back about it and I like him personally. I'd prefer him to Biden/Trump, I guess, but he's not even as serious as an LP candidate, and that's saying something. Ye? Pfft.
I don't know... I've got nobody to root for at the moment, so imma keep focusing on writing my book and sit this one out for now.
