My 3d Print of the Day... Baby Groot, You're So Cute!

in printing3d •  7 years ago

OK well I actually printed this a little while ago, again in Wood grain PLA from Hatchbox (check it out here if you wish, aff link: http://amzn.to/2GuYEYS), which I highly recommend it always prints out great on my Flashforge Dreamer. Not my design, I got it from here if you want to check it out: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2143549.

I just recently finished him up, I sanded and stained the tree and Baby Groot two different stain colors that I had in the house. Then I used some acrylic paint for the green hair and eyes. Had a little trouble getting him off the platform and had to superglue one of the delicate little arms back on, but I just printed him out for fun and to hold my paintbrushes and stuff on my desk. I just think he is so adorable.

Nice, my Baby Groots
For the Eyes I used a black permanent pen and a drop of glue :-)
