Sup peeps! Let's take a look at your ability to protect your privacy on the Facebook platform. Today, let's specifically pay attention to the information that 3rd party apps and websites can see in your account.
Start by going to your Facebook Settings > Apps
Then "edit" the settings for "Apps, Websites and Plugins"
You can disable ALL Apps, Websites and Plugins from accessing your account. That means you will not be able to log in anywhere using your FB account.
Let's go back to Settings > Ads and review those.
Let's start with "Your Information"
I chose to not offer any of this information. I wanna keep my privacy here.
Now let's check on your "Ad Settings"
I decided to give permission for ads to use my browser and cache history. I figured that I'm gonna see ads either way so why not make them as relatable and personalized as possible. At least they'll be more interesting that way.
Stay safe out there, Steemy friends. You are being datamined. They more they know about you, the better influence they could have over you.
In Liberty,
Ashe
PS: If you haven't already, subscribe to our analytics and reporting account @SteemSmater. We plan to introduce version 2 of the report very soon which will include more info on what tags and topics of content you should use to get more followers and earn more rewards. You will NOT want to miss this update.
Thanks for the reminder. I only login few times a year. Most of the times I login I find that things have been made to look different with more and more vanity stuff to keep our attention. FB is even going after SNAP (I think, I haven't wasted my time on Snapchat)
Still it's better to disable those stuff.

The privacy issue has made the facebook hit the bottom of the sea... To rise up again it needs to do a lot of reshuffling otherwise theres no option with so many platforms available.

This is true, facebook has been using user datas for personal profits. They have been able to manipulate the information that gets to someone and when the information gets there too
