The Linux Kodachi operating system is one of the systems that has some nice tools onboard.
for example it has VPN, Tor, RAM Wiping, NSCrypt, Bitcoin wallet, Litcoin wallet and much more.
It is used much the same as for example Tails. This means you run it from a USB or DVD. It is only really practical for people who are really in danger when being caught.
With the growing attention of governments for hacktivists, whistleblowers and such it is good to have more development in that area. Because you never know now when you suddenly become a target. Since Trump became a president people suddenly realized they want a Protonmail account for example.
If that is really necessary I don't know. But it is always good for the net citizens to keep your skills up. So give it a try.
