Private doesn't mean confidential!

Health care data is private. But is it used for many purposes that may not make it confidential.

Take health care activities like population health - a part of health care reform. Population health requires data be identified (not anonymized) in order to identify people...individuals with care patterns that are costly to the rest of the health care system.

That means that your private health data is used for a purpose that is not confidential.

Consumers who want their data to remain private and confidential, don't have a mechanism to track, follow or monitor how their health data is used.

With so many data sources being public, health data is most likely one of the one data sources to still have some level of perceived privacy.

How can Blockchain be used to ensure privacy of health data?
