Nothing is private if you are not a private person. The difference between Facebook and steemit is that when you make content on FB, THEY make the money. On here it goes into your own wallet.

That's not the only difference.
And steemit will get better. But I want people to be aware of the current inherent dangers of treating steemit as though you could have casual conversations with friends about personal stuff and that not be a big deal, because that's what it's presented as, and that can have devastating consequences if people aren't aware. Steemit right now is NOT for intimate integrated shoot-the-shit conversation.
