@botaphor aka "my bot is like a summer's day" is a Twitter bot that makes comparisons. It's written by Mouse Reeve (@tripofmice on Twitter) and they have made the source code available on Github: https://github.com/mouse-reeve/metaphinder
This Twitter bot derives content from Twitter searches! It gets adjectives from the Wordnik API and looks for people using those adjectives in recent tweets, using pattern-matching on simple phrases like "my X is Y". If it can find two nouns with the same adjective, it'll try tweeting them together.
Sometimes the results are spot-on. Other times, it's sort of garbled. This was a bot that had a lot of popularity early on but hasn't gotten as much attention afterwards.
