Production Management
Before forming a concept of "production management", we must identify the productive process within the business and its environment. In addition, the environment in which it is located and makes interaction with the productive process, is by nature constantly changing. for example; The external environment outside the organization is conformed by the market, the State and other entities that can affect the operation of the company.
In contrast, in the internal environment it will be possible to administer the transformation systems that convert inputs into goods and services, using the technology applied in the same (level of sophistication, equipment, techniques). The proper management of a productive process implies continuous monitoring of the process and its environment in order to plan, control and improve the system.
The strategic role of production is to achieve business objectives by making decisions in the management of production obeyed by a strategic corporate plan that contemplates the reality of the company, environment and strategic objectives. Consequently, the objective of the "production management " is to generate productive processes to achieve the strategic objectives of the Organization.
