I'm Back! With some info

Hey all! It's been quite a while since I posted on here. I figured it was high time I waded back into the waters of Steemit. Today I want to talk a bit about a project that I have been developing for a while that might be of interest to the Steemit community.

Recently, I have been occupied with putting together an automated program that would run an account on Steemit (using the Piston Library). This account would have the ability to run a simple lottery-like event periodically on the website: it would take transfers that contain a memo with a URL leading to a post, and, after some period of time, would choose one of the posts it received to get an upvote.

Currently, this program (called Lottobot) is in a veeeery early testing stage. There are still several kinks to be worked out, but I am personally quite happy with how it has worked so far. In fact, an account is currently running a lottery here on Steemit as a test. That account is (fittingly enough) called @lottobot. You can send it transfers (of at least 0.1 SBD or STEEM) this very moment to have it enter you in a lottery. The winners of each lottery are chosen at approximately 2 1/2 hour intervals. As I mentioned, this program is still in a testing stage, and there may be some problems. If you would like to help test it, you are more than welcome! However, use at your own risk!

I am hoping to take Lottobot out of the testing phase later on this week. I'll be able to post more detailed info and instructions then (as well as be louder about this exciting announcement!). Until then, you can grab a copy of Lottobot from GitHub and take it for a whirl yourself if you'd like (it is licensed under the MIT (Expat) License). I just thought my readers might like a sneak preview of what I've been up to :)
