Hello Steemians,

FACT:: Coding and Programming Is Not For Everyone.

If you aren't interested, its already obvious that this writeup is not for you. However if you wish to add to your knowledge and grow, you may decide to read till the end.

I recently got really interested in learning about programmes. What makes the computer work? Why does your phone have apps? How does apps work? What is behind the steem blockchain? How does it function to host applications like steemit, busy.org, dtube etcz?

All these questions bugged my mind for a while. Also I was interested in finding out if it was learnable. Mark Zuckerberg and Bill gates did this in their 20's. They even built something super-smart that many of us use today. Do they have 2 heads?

So I embarked on the journey to find Zuck's and Gate's 2nd head. Perhaps the secret to all their achievement was buried somewhere in an archeological site. I picked up my shovel and got digging.

What I found amazed me! There's a whole world out there. Behind the scenes of every great application you use on your phone/tablet/laptop/desktop; behind every great website you have visited; behind the search engines of Google and the dapps of emerging blockchains; behind the trending cryptocurrencies and the hypes are thousands and thousands and thousands of codes.

My head almost exploded when I discovered this. There are so many smart people in this world. Big kudos to everyone who work so hard spending hours and hours on the computer screen hacking away at codes, calling functions and running scripts. A bigger thanks to those who laid the foundation for the computer. Who could have thought that there could be other languages apart from those we were given at Babel.

Learning code begins with Learning languages.

When I'm talking about languages I'm not referring to Arabic, or Chinese or Igbo. In this case, language is referred to as Computer languages. When you speak the computer interprets.

For the computer to be able to interpret what you speak /type, you have to speak in a language or languages it will understand. If you say come for example, the computer will stare at you until you maybe type a function in Js or any other language.

The beauty of this is that they are even building up the computer to understand your language by coding your language into its language. That's why you could speak English to Google Talk and it will type what you are saying.

This same language will permit your apps to interact with you. For example if you click a button, what you are actually saying to the computer is to do that hidden thing which is coded into that button.

We Are All Coders!

I would say that we are all coders because coding is life! The genes that we all carry are individual and unique. According to the Nobel laurettes who discovered DNA,

Genes are unique and identifyable.

There are parts of DNA called codons to denote that its some sort of biological or chemical language being spoken to be interpreted by the cells. The cells produce proteins which replicate the codings of the DNA and thus you have unique humans, animals and microorganisms.

So God is a coder. If you are in the image and likeness of God then you are also a coder. Your ideas are your codes. Every word you have ever written down is a code. Every language you speak is a code. Every behaviour of yours is a code.

Even eating, sleeping and moving the bowels are all biological codes worked into your circadian rhythm. If your brain stops fucntioning, or your heart stops beating, then your code has failed. Its game over! If you are ill then that can be likened to an error message.

This writeup is an inspired piece of work. This is the code that I want to pass unto you today. My aim is not to programme you but to help you programme yourself.

If life is a code, then be the programmer of your life!

Next time I will go into the different kinds of computer programmes, what to do with each type and how to learn to speak codes.

GO AND GROW!

That part is really funny and true. I also want to learn the same to once i jave gotten the right funds.

Do you need funds to learn anything these days? I doubt. Start from Google.

✊😎 Udemy has free classes too!

Yeah. But they are video courses. You need alot of data bundles to watch those.

Okay brother, thanks for pinpointing that out.

This is beautiful. Although I'm not religious, this is still all truth as far as I'm concerned. Everything (and nothing) — even life itself — can be explained in binary terms, hex, mathematical, in English (or another spoken language), in code (or almost any programming language), etc. All of the ways we communicate are just all different ways of labeling the same phenomenons and how those phenomenons act and interact; to share meaning to ourselves. So bright you speak on this. Not sure if everyone will grasp it. Are you adventuring into learning programming? Right now I'm learning Python. Fun language. ♥️

Really? I hear so much about Py and Rb but I'm still fiddling with Js for now.

Yes. And python, so many freelance jobs available. It's hard to choose. I'm also trying to learn Js (specifically for steem) Are you going to build anything??? ♥️

Well you can still build with py on steem but I think the js lib is more advanced. Working on a nice web interface.

I always love the way you weave all your activities into medicine.

I would say that we are all coders because coding is life! The genes that we all carry are individual and unique.

With you on steemit, there is never a dulling moment.

By the way, i loved your interesting write up.
@antigenx

Even being in steemit is coding, we need to understand how it works to benefit from it.
