A programmer used SMS text messages to automate his guest list and to also get guests to choose their meal choices.
It saved him and his bride-to-be a lot of time and according to the article it also reduced her stress because she got automated messages showing how many people RSVPd already.
I really like this idea because it leaves more time to organize a great event for your guests, but some people think you must send paper letters through the post office and it isn't classy if you don't do that.
What do you think? Have to send the invite in a mail truck? Or have traditions caught up with technology that this is now ok?
Geeky is getting married in an on-line game... Moving this process on line is simply the reality of our modern world. That said, the classic invitation should still be part of the process for close family and the "scrap bookers".
