We are programmers! Yes, it sounds very proud today. Profits: big stakes, bonuses, air-conditioned office. Think about it all, but don't you forget about yourself and how you present yourself? I think that the times of programmers or computer scientists (I definitely split these concepts) who did not pay attention to their appearance and health have long since been forgotten.
We are in the 21st century and the time has come for elegant and healthy programmers!
Take care of your external appearance
In my opinion, this is the most important point of all the things I will present. I think the majority will agree with me that, contrary to the popular proverb, many people, however, judge the book by the cover. When you meet people for the first time in your life, it is important to make the first impression, often it is the first time you build your friendship, so make sure you look like - don't give reason to other people to give you bad judgment. It is not about spending money on clothes and (olaboga!). beauty treatments - a neat look is enough. Believe me that your self-confidence will increase, which will definitely translate into better results in your work and everyday life.
Take care of physical activity
We are programmers, we spend at least eight hours every day in front of the computer. We often forget that a sedentary lifestyle is our silent killer. Our body needs physical activity. If we do not take care of it, then after a long time we will probably start to play and certainly feel bad.
You should not allow yourself to grow your abdomen, so start running or practicing. For the latter, you don't need gyms, dieticians or specialized training plans at all, you only need a little free space in the house, self-denial, a desire to improve your figure and your well-being. As with everything, the beginnings can be difficult, but it is not worth giving up. After a while, you will notice that it gives you a lot of satisfaction - you'll want more.
Perhaps in a short time you will become a programmer with a sporty and eye-catching silhouette - I think what to fight for?
Take care of mental health
Mental health is very important in the life of a programmer and, of course, in every human being. I am not a psychologist, although I have several ways to do it and I have not been crazy yet in a crowd of work and duties.
First of all, what I noted in previous entries, motivation is important. It is thanks to it that we have the energy to act and take up new challenges. It is thanks to it that we have a goal and willingness to act. It is it, among other things, that keeps our mental health in proper condition. Therefore, it is important to ensure that it is at the right level.
Use a simple award system. Reward yourself for each successful completion of an agreed challenge. Let it be something you enjoy.
After every work, a person needs rest to regenerate his or her body after work, but also to allow the brain to cool down. As programmers, we should especially take care of the latter, because it is a tool of our work. It is thanks to the rested brain that we have a lot of ideas and willingness to act. And what I will say can be liked by many people: don't refuse to sleep. Don't let yourself be overwhelmed by frequent sleepiness - it's your enemy. If it happens once in a while - all right. More often? Take control of this.
Once in a while, take a few moments of lazy time. The time when you don't think about anything, slowly drinking your favourite drink - I recommend it!
Let us take care of ourselves
Our work has to do with ourselves that it is very absorbing. We often fall into a whirlpool of work, which draws us for many hours. Let us not allow us to stop thinking about ourselves - our own health and external appearance.
Let us look after ourselves!
