Ever seen a 10 year old try to kill themselves?

I landed a new position at a facility for troubled kids, and being on graveyard shift, it's normally very peaceful. But on this day the unit for the youngest got up early. At first it was super chill, then one got kinda grumpy. Then another got hungry but I couldn't leave to get 'em food 'cause the other staff were off workin with the grumpy kid.

Next thing I know one gets so board, he starts freaking out and climbing his shelf and saying he's gonna bust his head open on the bed-frame. Eventually the other staff arrive and sort things out.

The way to work that day was equally scary. Random yelling dude on the street walked up to me saying something about fucking shit up and next thing I know the two of us were staring at each other. I made it clear I was not interested in fighting but that I'm also not going to be easy prey. The tension was palpable. He eventually wanders off down the road, and down surprisingly high fives someone off in the distance.

Then I'm on the bus and a man asked me if before the eyes of God it is best to tell others I am a person who seeks to help other people, or that I'm a piece of shit. I tell him it depends on whether he's trying to be funny.

Now I'm thinking of making a Youtube channel for all the talks I wanna give the kids but can't because I'm not a licensed therapist.

There hasn't really been any other progress on Needpedia except for me being able to save up. As long as my luck holds out it will only be a matter of months before I have what I need to develop Needpedia. Wish me luck, and if you know of anyone who might want to pitch in, word of mouth's powerful and I'd really appreciate the help.
