😢 Torn Dreams #5 - Brandon Lawson 👪

It was August 8, 2013 when Brandon Lawson argued with Ladessa Lofton, his partner for more than ten years and mother of their four children. Dejected and furious at the situation, he decided to leave the house, drive to drain his frustrations behind the wheel and, eventually, spend the night outside until the hostility diminished.

Approximately forty-five minutes passed when Brandon called his brother, Kyle Lawson, telling him that he had run out of gas on Highway 277 in Bronte, Texas.

Kyle Lawson and his girlfriend Audrey went out to help Brandon; They thought to take him to the nearest service station to solve his problem. But, while the help was coming, about twelve minutes later Brandon made another call, this time much more serious, to the emergency number. He desperately marked 911 and, omitting an arrest warrant he had against him, requested the immediate presence of the police at his location, emphasizing that he was being persecuted and did not need an ambulance, but rather police officers.

All this was happening and neither his brother nor his sister-in-law imagined it. As they approached the site, the telephone signal was weaker. In one of his attempts to contact Brandon, they could hear the choppy voice of the man, who now was not only stranded, but was also bleeding.

When they finally arrived at the scene, they found Brandon's vehicle empty and a police officer prowling the area. At first, Kyle thought that his brother was hiding due to his legal pending, so he left some fuel in the tank of Brandon's truck, in case he decided to return when the agents left, but not before looking for the lonely surroundings.

Since that date, Brandon Lawson has not appeared, there has been no way to communicate with him; Brandon's phone is inactive, as is his bank account.
