What is the real problem of Indian people ? Corruption, mindset or poverty?

Hello Friends,

Here is another topic which needs your opinion.

General public of India blame that Indian politicians and government officials are corrupted and no job can be done in their favor without bribing some official. Whereas, a poor blames his destiny and government ruling the nation, that its their fault due to which they are poor and cannot grow without the support of someone else.

According to me, I feel general mindset of every citizen in world not only in India is the main problem.

Here are some examples from my life itself.

Example One:
We all know India is considered one of the most unhygienic country in world. Why is it so? Every tourist spot, every street, every bare land, they all get only one contribution from our residents i.e garbage.
So I was once travelling with my best friend in car and we were eating something. After the snack was finished, I kept the left over tray on side pocket of the door and my friend asks me to throw that out of car and not to keep it in that pocket as it will make his car dirty. To his request I answered that its only you who is always complaining that "our country is full of garbage and you hate this country for this reason" and now you are the one throwing trash on roads. To this he replied I pay Swachh Bharat Cess and Tax to government for getting roads and cities clean.
This mindset of him can be of many people in India, but has one ever thought about the numbers. India has a population of more than 1 Billion and each contributes this country with trash in same manner. Government appointed people to clean the cities might be somewhat around 10k each city with a population of 1 million. Looking upon these average numbers, do you think that it is sufficient with what tax you pay and how many are there to work on that trash contribution of yours? Is India not your country like your home, office or car? Is there no duty of yours to keep it clean the same way you want your own house to be?

Example Two:
Few days back we had a tax audit for our business. After the audit was over the government officials pointed out some errors of our's which were penalized with somewhat around INR 100k. When they were leaving one of them took my father aside and asked him that he can be forgiven for the penalty by bribing him with 15k. To this my father's reaction was "I will pay government all the penalty instead of paying you 15k. That 15k will be for your own benefit but that 100k will go in governments treasury which will be used to help in development of this country". So, in situations like this 99% of the population would have agreed immediately to pay 15k and save rest 85k. This mindset of every citizen is the only reason our country is still struggling to be one of the developed countries in world.

What do we lack at? We have sharpest brains in world, we have every resource we need at our disposal, we have so many communities to learn from, and most important we have freedom to everything, yet we are so behind than others.

Conclusion
So my conclusion is that people need to change their mindset rather blaming others and not contributing anything positive.
From this I am reminded by a popular Quote"Bhala kisi ka kar na sako, to bura kisi ka karo mat" That means "If you cant do good to anyone atleast don't do bad to him"
Also, I request to all- help each other, focus on mutual growth and be good.
