STEEMIT GUEST PARTY?

Where did that idea come from?

It all began with a voice chat with the idea bank, @ackza, he suggested we silence all the naysayers and also show those sitting on the fence what they are missing. What better way can we do that than to invite them to dine and wine with us one day, so they see how real the money we earn is and how much fun we are having and not have to blab all day long and hear that one question......

MEETUP / PROMO/ INTRODUCTION

We got to it and finally, finally, we have brought this event to a successful completion.

At the start, I knew most of those present but getting to the wee hours of the event I saw so many faces an gradually got to put names to them after interacting with them.

The whole event was scheduled to start at 11:00 am. 30 minutes was set aside for arrival and initial socialization and registration. All steemians introduced themselves, where they stay and who introduced them to steemit. It was surprising to see that people actually lived blocks away from each other and never knew.... There is going to be soo much bonding after this event

@bigsam said a word of prayer to officially mark the start of the program and we started

The whole event kicked off with the introduction of the steemit - what it is and why you should join and a personal experience of how far his steemit journey has been by @tj4real,

who had to actually travel over 6-8 hrs in a bus from Tamale in the Northern region of Ghana just to Grace the occasion along with @kshemen and @ehmkande

I presented next with the introduction of cryptocurrencies, steem and steem backed dollars and how we can actually use the money we earn on steemit

We are rewarded with something precious than gold, something valuable than a diamond. This introduction into the crypto world has presented us an investment opportunity that the banks in our country cannot offer us

@collinz came in with what we should do with the money we earn for now.

You may want to test the withdrawal method to see, that is soo cool. But we all know in reality that money comes to those who have more. So it will be wise if we all power up more frequently to help rise up the ranks.

It did not end there, those newbies that we down due to their earnings were encouraged by @odsam2

We all have been through that phase, you may catch the wind the first day with your intro or not..... but with consistency, you will gradually get there.

The floor was opened for questions

And that was when I realized we were not actually talking to zombies.

The whole place lit up.

People started asking questions from payout fluctuations, no followers, reputation, why and how to comment, who to follow, how to choose a title, when to write a post.......
So many questions and we tried our best to answer and share with experience.

Food was served and we started starking and building blockchains in our stomachs, LOL

We popped the champaign and wished for the continuation of SGP

Thanks to the "sams" (@mcsamm, @odsam2 and @bigsam) each person present was handed and MTN data sim that has 1 gig data monthly auto-renewal for 6 months. This is to help everyone as the cost of data at our end is not that easy. This will also enanble them stay active on the blockchain and also get aid when they need them on our whatsapp platform.

We ask for further question and clarifications, by then people had already started the one-on-one consultations and socializations already.

We assisted all guest to sign -up to #steemit and the enthusiasm and questions showed their interest to join the platform we hope for the best.

The number was not balanced in the sense that some brought newbie or people who are some few days old as their guests. A coulple of them had to leave before the end of the event because they had other engagements here and there.
