We have negotiated a package worth about $15,000 to the STEEM community. And we want to use it to help us all succeed
Fifteen grand! That's the approximate value of this one date in April to the community. This is what it costs to get to the show, exhibit and get the sort of exposure to investors and cryptocurrency/blockchain enthusiasts in the heart one of the world's financial centres.
We have two hour-long speaking slots, we are moderating and interviewing some big names in crypto on the main stage, and we have our own STEEMStand, one of the biggest stands at the venue, measuring a whopping 12 Sq Metres. We will have live on the hour presentations, a beautifully designed stand, even a graffiti artist doing a live steem-art exhibit on it.
And whilst we can fill the time up ourselves, we really wanted to give the wider community, and some of the brilliant projects on here and opportunity to get themselves noticed.
Because promo-steem is not about the three of us (myself, @starkerz and @stephenkendal), it's about the community, and our core aim is to bring in investment into the platform.
We want to bring delegated STEEM in, so that we can reward the thousands of voluntaryist promoters around the world with sizeable upvotes for high quality work. For me personally, it's about wanting to give back to the promoters, educators and humanitarians who are doing phenomenal, and very real, things on the blockchain, and being able to prove it.
So imagine if we had four or five projects (such as @utopian-io, @steepshot, @esteem and others) who suddenly had the chance for FREE to exhibit at what is arguably going to be one of the major British events for crypto-investors?
How could you calculate this value financially? What sort of level of investment potential is there in here, and how will that spread out across the community?
The goal of course is to raise the price of STEEM (Yes it might seem a little bit depressing right now, especially after the bumper lift in the price we had at the backend of 2017) and this benefits us all. Especially the whales.
And that's what we want to encourage...we want the whales to realise that we aren't just promoting to new users. We want to be a major part of bringing in the investment, of helping to drive and encourage the 100,000 microbusinesses that @ned talks about on the blockchain. All things that will lift the price.
This is the real value of this show. Please help us to make this a success. Let's get the word spread around even more, and see if we can leverege the power of the blockchain to get some of the best projects here.
Counting the cost
Of course, doing stuff like this takes time, energy, and yes, money. At the moment, pretty much the entire outlay has been met by myself, @starkerz and @stephenkendal, but of course, you guys are helping us with your upvotes, because this is assisting us in recovering some of the outlay.
The hours though that we have spent, organising the event, working with @creatocracy on the designs (she's absolutely brilliant by the way, please go and visit her blogs to see some of her awesome work...and maybe spread some love there too), speaking with the organisers, the printers, having conversations with other projects, organising audio/video guys to help us, even getting a team to come down and work the stand with us...all of this takes up masses of time.
I'd like to give my thanks to those of you who have taken this, and put out the word directly to some of the other projects, and spread the word around, especially people like @gold84 who's been tireless at helping spread the word.
And a huge thanks to those who have offered their time to be there.... @allasyummyfood, @ejemai, @cryptocurator, @ashtv, @starkerz, @stephenkendal and loads of others. I will post a full list in the not-too-distant of what everyone has done for us.

Hi @anarcotech ! The type of actions you are doing with @starkerz and @stephenkendal are the ones that will help the price of steem to go up in the mid and long term. We need to get this delegations for @steem-ambassador as soon as possible, and hope @elear from @utopian-io and other developers like @good-karma from @esteem can go to the London Crypto show to get the attention of important investors, so they can transmit the huge value of this blockchain.
Hope @ned can give at least an initial 100,000 steem power delegation to @steem-ambassador . Perhaps he did not see the impact of #promo-steem yet, but it is doing a great job on spreading the word about the greatness of the steem blockchain.
Regards, @gold84

Thanks @gold84, you're a proper awesome supporter of what we are doing. Wait for the news in the next few days, which I've been keeping to myself, but I'm bursting to tell the world about. A promo-steem world first is about to be unveiled.
