These few weeks have been adventurous for me. I have traveled and visited tribes and villages of some sort. My awareness and attention catches a lot. I am quick to make an opinion of places. This recently started because of the steemit platform. I have become aware of so many ways by which this platform can transform an ordinary youth into a solution.

I came into Abuja last night after stopping at Benue State University, a university located in the mid-belt of Nigeria. While at the university, I had a quick chat with two of my friends who were students there.

We spoke at learnt and I introduced them to the platform and talked them into becoming pioneers of the platform in the University.

While we talked, the word ESTEEM came to mind.

The major problem of the youth or graduate that is being produced by our university, is the issue of self-esteem. We have a system that produces individuals who come out and are mostly clueless about what they intend to do with the potential that has been built inside of them. They come out of the school system not being able to recognize opportunities, let alone, take advantage of opportunities.

The self esteem is constantly bruised in the school system in such that the child who came into the system feeling that once he was done, he would take on the world and make an impact, becomes depleted in esteem and cannot stand a crowd or articulate his dreams anymore. It is as if while in school they were stripped of their aspirations. They are made to pursue a certificate like their lives depended on it. The certificate is talked more of rather than the practicability of the knowledge acquired. So we end up having empty heads with good certificates. And if you take that certificate from them, they are nothing to start with.

This is the tragedy we find ourselves.

I am also an advocate for the #GIRLCHILD being personally developed. While I concern myself with exposing more people to the tremendous opportunities that are available here, I would sometimes let my emotions get in the way and focus on the #GirlChild More. No offense.

I do believe more of this girls, women, ladies, need to be empowered.

This platform allows for them to express themselves. Expression is one thing society has stripped them off. And on this platform they can have it and get paid for their expression.

This platform is one that has the potentiality of reducing low self-esteem. This potentiality has to be put to work. More campus ambassadors must awake. I am taking this on myself, to see that students across campuses are equipped with this platform.
