Good evening guys, this @bait002 the founder of the offline minnow school where minnows are mentored and groomed. Today, I will be talking about an important aspect of the steemit. I will also be talking about the benefits I’ve enjoyed so far on steemit.
I joined steemit last year September and back then, it was quite challenging trying to get the hand of things around here. Kept blogging and spamming different tags all for the monetary rewards. Guys, truly, I too came here for the money. It was after a while I started believing in the various possibilities involved when we get involved actively with steemit. Today, I have met some prominent persons, improved on my writing skills, my sense of organization and believe in myself has gone up all because I was actively blogging on a social media site that promises, but never guarantees rewards on original or quality contents.
It is the lack of guarantee in rewards that killed my interest after the first few weeks, I got sick and tired of getting no rewards and most annoyingly no visibility. I felt embarrassed writing with my so-called smart mind and no one appreciates it. I had a lot to say but I was afraid of failure because, conventionally, success on steemit is measured by rewards and visibility. I wrote some articles that didn’t just lack upvotes and comments, but also has zero views. How embarrassing? However, after a while I was able to get past that fear and build my blog as I keep myself busy in the light of my new perspective never to be discouraged. My blog we all experience now was born out pitfall. An unexpected hit I got from steem-hit. Haha … it wasn’t funny back then. True success in life can only be truly expressed in terms of internal fulfillment. I gathered a few group of young people who I introduced to steemit and taught them whatever I learnt on the go. I started organizing meetups and spreading the word about steemit. The Offline Minnow School was born! It wasn’t easy trying to convince people about the hidden beauty of steemit without showing them the obvious beauty. Notwithstanding, I was able to build a team that has been a huge impact on other young people; over 200 blogs have been born as a result of the movement we started during the late days of December 2017.
Today, I don’t only own an offline minnow school where I commit to training minnows and building small communities, I have successfully built a team with young people who would carry on even if I’m no longer interested in this vision. We hope to achieve greater things together, drawing the attention of investors to steem.
I started out as a writer trying to make some bucks but right now, I have found a sense of higher purpose on steemit and the world is becoming a better place for someone as a result of that discovery. I can’t completely share this story without mentioning a steemian who’s sense of commitment can’t be undermined, @ejemia. In his little way he walked I and the Offline Minnow School crew into growth bit by bit. We are truly grateful. So guys, believe in you look beyond the present discouragement and find a purpose greater than your initial intentions. Promo-steem and steemit with passion. You’ll find a purpose in that; making life better and bearable for someone else.
Thanks for reading today guys, I hope someone is inspired by that little drama. And I have to stress it to you that it is a true story and I wrote is basically to inspire a dying minnow. Don’t quit now, there’s a future for you here!
I am @bait002 and I am a lover of steemit.
