161 DAYS ON STEEMIT, I THOUGHT I SHOULD SHARE WITH YOU A HELPFUL IDEA

Today I'm 161 days old on steemit and it is great milestone. I came on the platform and I met both whales, dolphins and minnows who have made my stay enjoyable, thanks to people @ackza @dragonslayer109 @beanz @tytran @hr1 @mustard @jaynie @futurethinker . Never knew what steemit was all about as a newbie, I was helped by @odsam2 who introduced me to steemit. It wasn't easy starting as a newbie, I wondered whether steemit was even meant for newbies, because you hardly find your way on the platforms coupled with many complex issues.

I NEARLY STOPPED STEEMING

I nearly stopped steeming because I found it to be stringent and complicated. A lot of people get excited to join steemit due to the monetary incentive and it's only a few who stay. You know, there is no easy way making money in this world, you would have to work and gain. Thank God I stayed up to date and I'm really enjoying my stay. Things that I thought to be complicated has now being simple to me though there are still others yet to be unfolded.
It is easy to be discouraged on steemit especially when you get an undeserved votes as compared to others who are making it big time on their post. But I realised there are more to be discovered on how steemit works and so patience was all I needed.

WAS IT LUCK ON MY SIDE ?

Sometimes you hit a jackpot with a post you never thought would even be hype and it's like.. how did it happened?. You come across people who comes around to help you when you least expect them. This is why it is important to be consistent with what you are doing here because you never know when luck will shine on you.

I LOOKED FOR WAYS TO GROW FAST

Then I thought of how I can grow fast, I believe this is what every newbie on steemit looks out for. When you google about ways to grow fast on steemit it is likely to get a bunch of articles on it, but my question is, are all really helpful looking at how unpredictable steemit is. In my research on how to grow or thrive easily on steemit, I read about chatting with other and how it helps which i did, I also read about writing quality post to gain more audience, read about how belonging to a community helps and other stuffs. Well it has been helpful in some ways but I think about steemit as "finding you own way that actually works for you" and this all leads to being smart here on steemit.

I DISCOVERED STEEMIT IS ABOUT BEING SMART

Perhaps you have been thought of many things or ways that can help you grow fast on steemit but I think it all comes down to being smart. Being smart is not about indulging in any unhealthy activity just to gain an upper hand and grow at all cost, it doesn't work that way even in life. You must progress at an acceptable and right pace to be what you want to become. In my own perspective being smart is :

When you able to spot good opportunities others rarely find.

What to contributes to people becoming successful in life is their ability to spot good opportunities make judicious use of such opportunities. I discovered It is not how long how you have stayed on steemit that matters but how smart you become.

SO HOW DO YOU SPOT OPPORTUNITIES ON STEEMIT?

There are countless opportunities to help any steemian grow fast but they are hidden. This is like the sea, there are many fishes in the see which perhaps are still undiscovered, until we dive deep into the sea and move around it is hard to discover such fishes. It is important to try out different things and see how luck shines on you.

That's how you will discover good places to help you on steemit. It may be different contest you engage in, different channels you join, different tags you use, different communities you will join, the kind of post your audience would like to read.

Doing the same thing all the time is good but it will always give you the same results and until you have greater power on steemit many of your post you presume to be deserving more votes can be ignored. This is why I have decided to engage in many things on steemit in the forthcoming year.

You never know the kind of audience who are ready to hype your post until you do something different. Doing different things does not also mean doing all including the things you don't even understand.
You should understand what you want to do before you get involve in the first place.
