My thoughts on the London Cryptocurrency Show - What happened and what we achieved!!!
Yes cheeky old me....for spending 9 weeks pretty much full time planning this, for my team spending thousands of dollars of our own money to put it on, for the 7 hours solid we spent putting the stand up the day before, for the combined 1000 miles driven by my team to get to the event, for even having the audacity to put something on and GIVE IT AWAY to other projects in the community, for the countless hours of preparation and planning, and for not using upvote/bidbots to get my post trending. In fact, the only reason this post made so much money (which by the way only just about covers the materials/printing costs of running the event) was because (a) the people who were there recognised the massive value to the entire STEEM community, and their own projects and (b) the wider community approves of what we did.
I suppose you could argue that im a cheeky wanker for never once asking anyone to upvote this post, in fact I encouraged them to upvote OTHERS posts. If that all makes me a cheeky wanker, then I'm proud of the moniker, because I believe in adding value to the blockchain, and doing it voluntarily.
I am eternally grateful to everyone who upvoted and resteemed this post, whether their upvote was worth 1 cent or 500 dollars. Their generosity has done what the STEEM blockchain was designed for, which is to reward high quality work/content. And I think the over-riding sentiment was that this show was exceptionally high quality.
But, yeah, i'm a cheeky wanker too.
