Sharing Steemit to Lapu-Lapu City Educators | I have heard so many wonderful stories!

Truly, it's one of the most memorable steemit promotion I have ever experienced. I am more than grateful when my dear friend @jenesa invited me to share the platform to her co-teachers and friends. It's indeed gratifying to be able to share the platform which has made a difference to our lives ; financially and emotionally. Today, I am just really excited to share to all of you the things that happened during the meetup.

By the time that I knew that I will be discussing steemit to the educators from different fields, I even got excited for I will be sharing something that would really help them in many ways. The event totally thrilled me for I thought that I would only be talking to a small group of people but it turned out that the attendees were more than I expected. One thing for sure, all of them are professional. But it didn't make me feel less confident, for I am very proud and poised knowing that I am bringing the name of STEEM to their wonderful lives.

The event was held at La Marea Pastry Shop & Wine Bar located inside the Island Central Mall Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City. Everyone seemed to love the ambiance for its pretty much cozy and artsy. Perhaps, I will be making another cafe review article to give more details about it. For now, I will be focusing more on the meet-up itself.

Together with me was my friend and our fellow steemian @ninyea. The event has started around two thirty in the afternoon. We started everything with getting to know ourselves. This is the most memorable part that for sure I wouldn't forget. I got a chance to listen to different stories from different walks of life. We shared our experiences in the platform and how it is changing ourselves for the better.

It was a complete casual free conversation wherein we got to laugh hard and share our common experiences when it comes to the struggle inviting other people , how we spent our first pay-out and how we got into the platform. This is the best thing about meetups because you get to see the people behind the comments on your posts who are actively supporting your works , you are able to share your ideas and techniques on how to grow in the community and learning things that you haven't learned because it's always best to have more brains than one. This is the real essence of a community.

We have discussed about CRYPTOCURRENCY , BLOCKCHAIN , and more topics about STEEM . These are things that bugged me when I was still starting in the platform. I am very whelmed and beyond grateful that I am able to share the things I experienced on how I coped up the learning process in the platform and how did I get started. But if you want to learn about cryptocurrency, I can really tell it isn't easy as a piece of cake, that's why I decided to impart the basic things that each and everyone should be aware of since we are somehow dealing transactions like trading of our hard-earned rewards from STEEM to crypto-currency exchangers and transferring it to our wallets.

The Discussion also includes:

1.) Introducing the BAYANIHAN CURATION TEAM which supports the Filipino content creators. @bayanihan
2.) Introducing our community communal account which is the STEEMPH.CEBU @steemph.cebu
3.) And other whales and curators who are actively supporting the #philippines tag and other community activities such as @surpassinggoogle ; @donkeypong ; @sndbox .
4.) Encouraging each and everyone to always do our best in making good quality contents which is highly supported by @curie and we discussed some of the curie guidelines.

It was indeed another successful fun-filled meetup with extremely wonderful people. After hearing their stories may it related or not related on steem, it really inspired everyone in the room knowing the failures that everyone has experienced and how we did cope up with them. Most specially, the reasons why they are really working the platform even if their works are barely noticed and recognized. The most common reason that everyone has is that we are doing it for our families and to be able for us to share something in the community. It's undeniable that the platform really helps us a lot when it comes to our financial needs. Specially for Filipinos, wherein the salary is just even or worse below our cost of living.
