It is surely not about the price of steem or the general market that have caused many Ghanaians and Africans to withdraw from steemit. In this writeup, l share with steemians the many other reasons why most people here in Africa do not certainly have the excitement to browse and do more on steemit. This may look so different from where you find yourself because it is not so at your end.

Steemit has proven to be the best media platform for which some of us may never want to leave but would rather help to bring more on board. But there is a serious hindrance for the people of Ghana and some part of Africa. More than half of African youth cannot afford to purchase internet data that will keep them online always. Even with the very few of us who seem active here on this blockchain still struggle to post daily because they manage with the very little internet data they have. Each day, the internet becomes more expensive here in Ghana which has greatly discouraged most people to work and do more on the internet.

I am so much excited to at least help provide internet data to some steemians here in Ghana. The very small amount of internet data they receive every month from what l share with them has always been so helpful to ensure their operation on this platform ongoing. Should the many Ghanaian youths have easy access to the internet, they certainly won't mind to blog and do more on this platform. And so the situation becomes more difficult most times as we struggle with internet data here in Africa.

I must commend the effort os some great steemians who this has got to their realization and have made good plans to care for some few Africans with their data package every month. The support of @surfyogi and @ackza which provides monthly internet data to the members of @wafrica community helps to keep us active to do more. The daily support of steemians like @adetorrent @nanzo-scoop @chris4210 @starkerz @fitat40 @sweetsssj @newhope @bleepcoin @demotruk and many others through their daily upvotes have helped me and many Africans to help others with internet data.

With the little support of the internet data packages that l offer to Ghanaians to help them stay active and online always will surely keep us strong to do something always. I am of a true conviction that, if internet data becomes so cheap and easily accessible many Ghanaians will love the work of blogging online to affect many lives. Help let us subsidize internet for the people of Africa and steemit will be a home for all.

Yes data cost is a very critical issue now for those living in Africa. It cost me about a $100 a month to run my full data services which is slightly above others since I use my wifi on my television. It also discourages some people from being active on Steem since they can't get the data cost back mostly when they are not supported much on the platform.

That is the problem we have here in Africa. Most people hope to see the very little they spend on data to steem will hopefully be received via the upvotes but its otherwise. Let us help build a sustainable data plan for steemians in Africa. Thanks senior @lordjames

Do you have Ntel network in Ghana.

Is there no unlimited plans that others can tether from?

I have unlimited data plans that l share with many steemians here in Ghana at a very reduced price. That is what keeps most of us active online always. Thanks for been here.

I use an unlimited data plan on my Mifi and I wish I had more people living in my area to share the data with. These unlimited data, I have come to realised are not really unlimited, they advised fair usage on the terms and conditions meaning if you exceed a certain daily usage, they can cut you off or reduce your browsing speed.

I don't like sad stories but this one earned an upvote
