I've chatted with friends randomly before at my bowling league, but took a different approach this time since it was the final day of our bowling league.
Went around with my friend Liz, the 50/50 ticket girl, and asked people if they have heard of Steem or Steemit...and for those interested talked a bit more and explained how to sign up, and some of the basics. Here's Liz and I in action:
It was a great day to do this, especially since everyone was having a good time, and in a good mood. For those interested in the stock market...I took the approach of mentioning how Steem has jumped from $1.50 to almost $3.00 recently. To be fair, I also mentioned that it has fallen from all time highs...but has been rising since it's been traded publicly.
I try to tell 1 person a day about Steemit if the opportunity presents itself. That doesn't always happen, but it is always in the back of my mind. Telling a friend about something you believe in, something that you expect to have great value in the future...why wouldn't you?
Haha yah that is awesome! The power of networking in social media circles with the help of a friend!
I do the same but mainly once via text (message on whatever platform) and regularly in person. You know when people make conversation and say, "So what's new" to continue that conversation? "Started a cryptocurrency portfolio and ditched Facebook for a platform that pays you for good content. STEEMit."
