Q- At what rate does the downvote mana deplete in Steem? How many one can downvote per day at 100% of the downvote mana & 100% downvote weight?
Post HF21 a separate downvote pool was introduced whose size is 25% of the upvote pool size. The pool size is indicated just below the mana bar of each pool. The upvote and downvote were in the same pool earlier. The new downvote pool was introduced to encourage the users in the Steem community to downvote spam and plagiarize content without worrying about the upvote pool depletion as the upvote and downvote pool are now separated.
The upvote mana bar depletes at the rate of 2% with 100% weight. The downvote mana bar depletes at the rate of 8% with 100% weight.
So 1% of upvote mana is equivalent to 4% of the downvote mana.
Both the upvote and downvote pool recharges at the same rate, i.e. at the rate of 20% per day, so full recharge takes 5 days for both the pools.
One will be able to upvote at 100% of the upvote mana every 2.4hr and one will be able to downvote at 100% of the downvote mana every 9.6 hr.
So at 100% of upvote mana, one can get 10 upvotes per day and at 100% of the downvote mana, one can get 2.5 downvotes per day.
