The Idea Behind MTR Being The Main Target Area Of HongKong Protest

For the past Six Months of HongKong Protests, The Mass Transit Railway has been the the major target area of protest by the Pro-Democracy or Protesters. Though there are other Stations, Subways and companies that protesters could vandalize.

The research shows that The MTR is one of the companies that the Government has shareholder which fetches a lot of money for HongKong. To the Protesters, since they they battling against government who can grant them with their human rights, it would be to their advantage when they cause destruction at MTR without considering the effects. Also, The MTR station is one of the place where mass of people are always gathered. Even the Rail is one of the transit that mass of people use to travel compare to the other transporters, it could convey large number of people than any other transporters. In view of this it is to Protesters advantage to attack many people at such places.

Due to this rationale behind the Protesters, any time the mount on protest, their major target area is to move to that place and cause mess. Many items have been destroyed ever since they pursued and championed the course of protest. Even in the Railway transit and passengers travelling, many of them had experienced harassment in the hands of these protesters. It is also worthy to mention that the security forces in HongKong, such as the Police have also executed their work effectively, by closing the MTR Station, other major stations and Subways for further destructions. I could say that the one of the security bodies who have suffered in the hands of these protesters in HongKong is the "Police Service!"

I do not think, the police personnel had chance to rest in this Six Months of continuous protests. Because they had to alway monitor protesters and their actions. It has been always difficult controlling large number of protesters on the streets, subways and stations. That is why most of the subways and stations were blocked by the police. At some points, the police had to fire tear gases to calm down tensions by protesters. But, protesters were demanding the explanations to the police work forces and their violence actions. At some point, protesters were complaining being sprayed with pepper by the police work force. I believe that is the only alternatives the polices could apply to control protesters in order to reduce tension.
