I tuned out of the 'old' music industry years ago. As a career musician, that can be a [sometimes noble but] suicidal move. Steem does not fully fund what I do, but it is certainly a much stronger step into the future of music than what we're dealing with otherwise. I personally think with the amazing DApps devs are bringing in for us, what success looks like as an artist is going to change drastically for the better in the not-too-far future.
