Hello...Steem lovers❤
John Howkins, in his book The Creative Economy, said;
"Those who have ideas will be stronger than those who work with production machines, or even the owner of the machines themselves."

Economic experts say the creative economy is a new economic era that turns back old economic theories. Referring to the book "Development of the Indonesian Creative Industry 2025" published by the Ministry of Industry, fields included in the creative economy include advertising, architecture, painting, design, crafts, fashion, video, film, photography, interactive games, music, art performances, tourism, publishing, software and startups, content creation, and research. Diverse fields and with the potential of Indonesia's human resources very much, Indonesia should be able to become a superior country in the development of the creative economy. Technological developments are also driving the creative economy moving rapidly into the engine of the global economy. And it is not surprising then that developed countries get the largest foreign exchange income from the creative economy sector. While Indonesia has only been able to bring in 7-8% of foreign exchange from the creative economy.

Creative is the ability to give new ideas in problem solving. Economy is a variety of activities related to the production, distribution and consumption of goods or services. So the creative economy can simply be interpreted as an economic concept in which creativity, information, knowledge, ideas and individual abilities are the main factors of production.

Indonesia as a developing country has not been able to respond to this era of creative economy to the fullest, many things must be addressed, especially when referring to the thoughts of futurologist Alvin Toffler who divided the three waves of human civilization; agriculture, industry and information, Indonesia is still unable to pass all these stages encouragingly. Our agricultural technology is still inferior to neighboring countries, Indonesia's industrial world cannot yet be independent and is highly dependent on other countries, in terms of information technology, Telkom's excavation of cable issues has not yet been completed. On the other hand we must immediately respond to a new era, namely the creative era.

Fortunately, advances in information technology in other parts of the world have influenced Indonesia's social and political order in which geographical and political boundaries can no longer drive any Indonesian citizen who wants to develop and advance. The legal order and state power in an area where the government considers cinema as a dirty place can not curb citizens to get new information and knowledge through the internet. Every individual who has a passion for progress is now open to exploring his creative potential. Even for those who are immersed in the life of the digital world, the state is only needed when it has to take care of KTP, Passport and Marriage Book. Areas that are far from the center of power before must be willing to become marginalized citizens and always late to feel progress, now have the opportunity to surpass citizens who are close to power.

For example, like the younger generation of Indonesians who in the last few years appeared many young filmmakers whose work won various national and international film festivals. And there are still many works of the nation's children with limited work using wifi facilities in coffee shops and they can make a living selling their works on the internet. Through digital media they penetrate national boundaries and learn with other citizens of the world.

The role of Steemit
The reality of millennial generation, of course, is also happening in other parts of Indonesia with different dynamics. The desire and creativity of individuals can no longer be dammed by anything, even with weapons. Imagination and technology have brought a wind of revolution in the souls and minds of the world's people. A revolution that does not need to kill and destroy.

This overflowing individual creative power requires space that is able to accommodate the production of new content and markets that can regulate the distribution and consumption flow fairly and quickly. Here Ned Scott and Dan Larimer present a solution by creating a blockchain-based social media platform called Steemit. Ned Scott is a graduate of Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, United States. He was a Financial Analyst at Gellert Global Group, an import company. Dan Dan Larimer has long been in the world of blockchain and bitcoin and has worked for Bitshares. Their courage to get out of their comfort zone and start a new idea has brought us all to be steemian today. And Peter Thiel, founder of Pay Pal in his book "Zero to One" writes: "Bright thinking is rare, but brave people are much rarer than geniuses."

Steemit with its sophisticated logarithm is able to encourage and stimulate user creativity, through a reward system in the form of Steem Dollar (SBD) the content of steemian works is not in vain and the potential for creative business is millions or even tens of millions of rupiah wide open. Of course for maximum results steemian must be able to understand well all the procedures for socializing and building a reputation at Steemit. In addition to the ability to produce good and interesting content, Steemian is also required to have the ability to market it. One of the important things to expand the network at Steemit is to be a community, where Steemian can share experiences and technical matters regarding blockchain and digital currency or cryptocurrency.

Advances in blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies that are side by side in Steemit are very likely to enhance the development of Indonesia's creative economy and indirectly will contribute significantly to the economic growth of this country. The regional autonomy policy has not yet been able to fully answer the mandate of the 1945 Constitution regarding equality and social justice for all Indonesian people. Decentralization which is the spirit of blockchain technology may provide some answers to the impasse due to the centralization of power that lasted long enough in Indonesia during the Soeharto regime.

Finally, I want to voice this trendseting platform for everyone by shouting like what our seniors have done; @stephenkendal, @theycallmedan, @ocdb @oracle-d @paulag, @nathanmars, @kommienezuspadt, @davidke, @anomadsoul, @r2cornell, @blocktrades, @appreciator and all Steemians everywhere.
