Proof-of-Community + Proof-of-Brain = Success!

So, what was the normal outcome of this Netcoins contest happened, and STEEM was declared victorious.

What remains is this picture, with STEEM at the top as a winner:

And the promised headlines that will mention that.

No one but the participants will remember the contest itself. Nor will they care about it.

They will be interested in the winner. Not in the 2nd place (although we know it was a tough fight).

They might be interested in the rules of the contest (broadly), which say the winner gathered the most support to list their token.

Or, otherwise said, an expression I used several times, proof-of-community.

We Steemians knew we had a great community, although I for one haven't seen it coagulate around a single short-term goal so well until now.

It was time for the world to meet us. This time through sheer numbers and support for STEEM. Next time, who knows?

I believe the real stake of this contest was not understood or transmitted as it should during the contest, that's why a day before the vote ended and when we were still second to Verge, I tried to explain it in a stronger post.

The main benefit we have from this is we now have a proof-of-community!
And I believe we are the only blockchain to have that so far.

So, Proof-of-Brain + Proof-of-Community = ? Success!

Now that we won we seem to be searching for more contests to win! :)

More proof-of-community? Sure, why not, they add up! Just like proof-of-brain.
