Your Steemit audience will tune into your message more easily if you practice the following writing strategies.
- Avoid passive wording
Simply say "who did what." Think about the source of the action. - Ask yourself: "Is this easy to read?"
Putting yourself in a reader's shoes, will it take more effort than it's worth to read through, process and remember your writing? - Ask yourself: "Is there a simpler way to say this"
Don't say what your going to write, then write it. Just write it. - Avoid clichés.
If you're repeating a figure of speech that you've heard before, think again -- there's a good chance, you sound more amateurish than clever. - Use a spell checker.
This one should be obvious.
This may sound like a lot to remember, but don't worry! I've created a free service that will do it all for you automatically.
