Jimmy Dore did a great job uncovering the real motivation for US escalation in Afghanistan. Hint: It's the natural resources; it always has been. This military expert being interviewed by Rachel Maddow inadvertently confirms it. Smoking gun.

Why can't we just buy the natural resources legitimately, like China does? Instead we resort to invasion, bombing civilians, and propping up regimes that are friendly to US interests but suppress their own people.

I never hear the extremists from Afghanistan chant "Death to China."
