If you have read the Oddysey, you proably remember the part about the giant cyclopse. The cyclopse ended up being blinded and when it came time for the cyclopse to let the sheep out of the cave the cyclopse did not want Odysses to also walk out. So the cyclopse let the sheep walk out of the cave one at a time while the giant rubbed the back of each sheep to be certain that Odysses did not escape.
Surley Odysses was trapped, only sheep were alowed to leave the cave. But Odyesses figured out that he could also leave the cave when he took refuge under the sheep.
My sin ignited the fury of GOD and the only way to avoid HIS wrath was to live completely without sin. And I am like a sin magnet, so I thought hope for me was lost. JESUS came to this earth and HE was able to live without sin, so HE could waltz right out of the cave. But GOD had mercy on us and GOD The HOLY SPIRIT has shown us that we can pass through the oppening of the cave if we cover ourselves with the rightousness of JESUS CHRIST!
JESUS is the LAMB of GOD that takes away the sins of the world!

Yes....the doctrine of propitiation. God accepted the work of Christ on the cross of bearing our sins...He was propitiated.
Do you mind bleujay asking.....why would you not add a salvation verse to this very interesting analogy to salvation....as the truth of the Word of God never returns void....and the Holy Spirit uses the gospel to bring understanding to the unsaved.
