PROTEIN!! If you are doing any sort of strength training and are wanting to increase muscle tissue, you need to make sure you are consuming enough protein. There is no consensus among the "experts", but I've found that 0.5-1.0 g/lb of target bodyweight is a common school of thought. Two of the biggest reasons why protein is important is because stops catabolism, or breakdown, of muscle during cardiovascular activities, and helps to repair and rebuild muscle after resistance training. Translation=gainz!!
