BE CAREFUL OF ANY SUSPICIOUS MESSAGES
Not just Bitshares users under attack, but also EOS and other crypto wallets via Discord and Telegram.
DO NOT open .exe files or allow update alerts that are sent to you through discord or telegram. MAKE SURE the person DM'ing you is actually the person you know (history of chat, manner of language) and not a hacker impersonating your friends.
Please take a moment to watch this video, even if you think you are solid in protecting your accounts, just as a reminder of the techniques being used to hack people. Even crypto veterans are being hacked due to complacency.

That's one thing I like about Steem and EOS is at least you can keep most of your funds locked away so if you noticed something fishy going on hopefully you have a chance to catch it before most of your funds are taken.
