The picture below was taken today from page 2 of the Adelaide daily paper, 6 July 2017: The Advertiser. Page 2 mind you.

If this isn't a classic example of the media dumbing-down the populace I don't know what is! Did I say this was on page 2?

If this is what the media think we need to know then there is no hope.

While I don't disagree with Lumley about the negative effects of a 24/7 always on society, I see your point that this shouldn't be taking up column inches in a NEWSpaper. There are far more important things to cover.

To be honest I only read about 5 or 6 lines of the article. I never read newspapers but it was open on the table in front of me. I just read it off my post though and its even more pathetic than ever! My point, as you correctly refer to, as about the fact that the story has no place being where it was. They make reference to the TV show she was on. the fact that she's slender and was a model. WTF! What does any of that have to do about society being trapped by technology? Nothing. What a joke.
