The Old Dog Says: There Are Different Ways of Looking at Things!

in psycholgy •  6 years ago

A friend of mine had this meaningful cartoon as his profile picture. I've translated it into English for everyone to enjoy!

Just because you are right it doesn't mean that the other person is wrong.

You just didn't see things from his point of view..... and maybe it's a "g"!

What English Expressions Reflect This Cartoon?

@kus-knee,
Sometimes I don't know whether this might be a good example or not!
"Cock" it means Rooster and in my country it has the meaning of D!ck also!

Cheers~

Yes a word can have many meanings.

There can be countless different perspectives depending upon from what direction you view things. A good communicator will know this and take it into consideration when speaking with others. Perhaps that's why I text messaging is quite Limited because you do not have the vocal inflections of the voice to a come into words.

In the cartoon we see a 9 or G depending upon how you look at it. M & W are the same way. You can have Roman numerals or you can have letters depending upon how you look at it. I think of the word still which has multiple meanings. There are countless other words like that in our English dictionary. Thanks for sharing @kus-knee

Nice insights. Thanks!

yeah neither is correct or wrong. everyone has its own opinion. I recommend this post for #up-gage by @zephalexia

True!

"When one changes the Way to look at things, Things one looks Change"
I heard this back in India and found it true in my life many times! Another great pick dear brother!

Thanks for sharing!

6 and 9 are meant to be together, so pop open a bottle of bubbly, and put on a Barry White album.

I love this image as I think it is always about perspective! One of the great reasons I enjoy my journey here in the ecosystem!

We can identify these different ways of seeing things in the book: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad - What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money" by Robert Kiyosaki.

A good lesson in the picture. No one is wrong Just need some time to understand someone

very inspiring and meaningful. and i sooo agree with the idea , can't think of any other related saying but that put yourself in someone else's shoes is the perfect one.

Your post has been recommended by @jurich60 for my up-gage challenge

You are perfectly right about this. Did not ignore others people opinion and only believe yours is only right and theirs is wrong

Hi my friend. From that picture I see an expression of our lives that can not be separated from various events, challenges, obstacles, opportunities, and various experiences that can be used as lifelong lessons to behave better from day to day. Truly said experience is the best teacher in life . By learning from experience, we become more mature individuals every day. I quote the wisdom from (Confocius) "Life is simple, we make it difficult."
Thanks for this @kus-knee

It’s all about perspective and shifting the paradigm or viewing lens to see what others may see as being correct. The old dog knows well and wise

Story goes...
Long time back I was doing a project at a university talking to different users from 13 schools and faculties about process and requirements.
Some guy said "we are just like everyone else. we are all unique." I concluded each of them had their on way of doing things different but the way it was put across to me sound darn strange if you know what I me.

Every one has their own perception its all about the mindset ;)
