This was uplifting and a great idea. I know people with a lot of anxiety and depression. I will forward this to them. Thank you.

Great post.
This seems to be a consistent cognitive error or I suppose it could also be described as a perceptual error that people experience with near delusional intensity in many cases during bouts of depression. It seems to be part of the depressive phenomenology that is found in patients whether it is their first episode or their tenth episode. It is fascinating that even having previously successfully recovered from previous episodes does not seem to change the perception.
