How do we view ourselves?

Hey guys! Hows it going? So on my previous post, I talked about the ups and downs of my journey as a student. I talked about how I lost my self-confidence and how a person can strip away self-worth within seconds but it takes what seems an eternity to build it back up... We all have experienced the lowest of days and nothing seems to be right... and when that happens, sometimes its nice to hear some motivational speeches because they are a testament of what we can achieve with the right guidance and push.

I would like to share with you guys some motivational talks on TED talks. They are amazing! Personally, I learn so much from all these amazing speakers! From the way they present everything so well and confidently, to the content of their presentations. TED talks are like goldmines of knowledge!!!

Here are two videos that I personally think helps me as an individual to grow and be better. Hopefully, you'll find them as useful and inspirational as I do!

1.)The Skill of Self Confidence by Dr. Ivan Joseph

Really loves the videos, thank you for sharing! I grow up being constantly told that I am not got enough, I guess my mom have high expectation on me and it really affect my self-confidence. But, i surround myself with motivational quotes or reads stories on motivating oneself. In fact, I read motivational quotes just before I sleep every night and everyday I wake up being motivated and grateful.

@laineraine big hugs! No worries girl, more than happy to share! Aww... I am sure she means well, but yes, I understand how you feel...
Yes! motivational quotes are so helpful as well. But I only see it from time to time, maybe I should do it more often! What is your favourite quote or one that you really resonate with?

Well it depends on my emotion at then but I always find the quotes that reasonate with me by searching or scanning through the quotes available at Pinterest. You should try to install the apps at your hp. Its very useful site not only for quotes but for many other topics.

Nice one da.

TED talks are like goldmines of knowledge!!!

That is so true.
I enjoy listening to them.

Right! You are most welcomed!

Thanks for sharing.

No worries! Happy to do so!

I have a slightly different upbringing. My parents are quite good parents. They were always full of praises and affirmation. Me and my siblings grew up to be quite self assured. I guess the parenting part is one undeniable part.

I also have a strong upbringing where my parents and siblings always encourage and support in whatever I pursue, and we have the freedom of open discussion among one another. Agreed, family do play an important role. Because without them I think I would have been in a worse state.
