It is scientifically proven that living by the standards of the ancient philosophers' thoughts can make ones happier. Releasing anger can either. Even though, ancient philosophers often didn't live according to their words, the words themselves were sometimes very wise. Here is what some stoic philosophers have told:
"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury." Marcus Aurelius
"To refrain from imitation is the best revenge. (different translation of the above)" Marcus Aurelius
"A physician is not angry at the intemperance of a mad patient, nor does he take it ill to be railed at by a man in fever. Just so should a wise man treat all manking, as a physician does his patient, and look upon them only as sick and extravagant." Lucius Annaeus Seneca
"Anger: an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything it is poured." Lucius Annaeus Seneca
"Anger is like those ruins which smash theselves on what they fall." Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Thanks for this greenmask9. The world can use as much spreading of wisdom as possible right now. My favorite is, "A physician is not angry at the intemperance of a mad patient, nor does he take it ill to be railed at by a man in fever. Just so should a wise man treat all manking, as a physician does his patient, and look upon them only as sick and extravagant." Lucius Annaeus Seneca. Upvoted, resteemed and following. I enjoy this one specially, because it uses arguements to support the idea. Not just comparison or parable. Thank you for resteem!
