Sometimes we're blind to distractions and the reason why this is so is because distractions hardly suffices itself in a plain shape or grotesque forms it comes in form of activities that takes your focus away from the main priorities and you hardly recognise this until you're done for. It's amazing to want to have fun or take a comic relief off a path that leads to your destination, but in reality there's no space to sulk or to feel cheated even in am unfair world and the reason for this is because life doesn't have an umpire nor a referee and that's why sometimes people go free for being unfair and unjust and people who follow the rules gets to rue everything. In essence when we don't analyse the anatomy of our core self it makes it difficult for us to know our areas of vitality because like it or not as much as we're not under pressure to accomplish our aims in life, the responsibilities ahead of us doesn't ask if we're accomplished it just comes without justification without reason and without proof of sensibility.
Without a doubt sometimes we believe we've strived too hard in life but in all honesty our hard work might mean nothing, life gives bus people who doesn't care about our struggle but only care if we can adequately deliver, these people come in forms of our supervisor at work, our supervisors at school and well our society at large who's made up of different people who are waiting for the outcome of your life. This brings me to always saying again, we're defined by our choices, having mental strength, the vigour, that psyche and that encouragement. See the whole situation in life is sometimes depressing but you need to create your own happiness in other to find a reason to keep contesting, keep participating and keep trying. When it seems we're drawn to distractions, the only way to beat it, is to recognise that something in particular is a distraction, when we understand that we're diving into a distraction it helps us know when to finally untangle ourselves because like it or not we're all human and taking time to dwell in irrelevancies sometimes brings us relief away from the life we're currently living.
So when you recognize distraction as distraction, you imbibe the policies of retractions it's like a chain that pulls you out of a web that eats deep into a mire Obviously it's often a trick that does the magic. I've been giving excuses in the past for my failings but I've discovered lately that life is never a football game and never will be and so because there's nobody that looks at us constructively and decides whether we need a break or deserve preferential treatment because of our inabilities we can't use our inabilities as an excuse because life's taciturn motto is shut up and do it. We can't be tired because the moment we've been born we've began a race, a race for survival a race to seek accomplishment, a race to make it, a race to survive and all and every other thing is a distraction. I'm not saying distractions are bad, truth is, distractions are the reason why we often come back stronger but it most cases it takes people on a downward spiral down a rabbit hole where they can hardly retrace their steps.
I had a blistering challenge some times ago and it was a huge wake up call for me, obviously challenges attacks us from where we are weakest and this seems unfair but is there a channel which you can complain? Absolutely not! When your problems are obvious people only show concern they don't proffer solutions so what's the essence of divulging the reasons why you're experiencing incapacities? In all walk of life be happy if your problems aren't visible because people's show of public sympathy will kill the zeal in you to embrace continuity because like it or not being pitiful about someone's plight is giving them a reason to take a break and straightforward into distractions which often seems like the regular dosage of painkillers. That said, take distractions seriously, divulge in them if need be, but understand their repercussions and the danger of staying in too deep, reality ends when we end
I work in an Aging, Cognition, and Emotion (ACE) lab where we study emotional response differences in younger and older adults. This post has similar topics relating to distraction as a poor form of emotional processing.
More specifically we've found that the most successful emotion regulators use a form of regulation called "reappraisal" in which older adults will reappraise a negative stimulus by considering all of the positive perspectives. Conversely we have found that those who distract or ignore a negative elicitor have poor emotion regulation. We measure this through psychophysiological parameters (HRV, EDA, pupil dialation).
Now our research is focusing on an even more effective emotion regulation method of embracing the "negative" affect and sitting with it...pretty interesting stuff.

Distractions are common phenomena plaguing success delivery. The worst are the subtle ; the habits mediated.
Compassion from well wishers is another big distraction. It tends to drive into your psyche that your are either stupid or not capable or misfortunes!!
