As noted in an earlier post, the National Commission for Certifying Agencies has forced the resignation of board member Dianna Varady from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Here is the official letter that evidences Ms. Varady's resignation.
In my experience, Ms. Varady was completely unresponsive. My son was abused by a Rogue Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has a history of abuse claims and who has been caught faking a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. I reached out to Ms. Varady numerous times. No response. Radio silence. (Note that the BACB's CEO, Jim Carr, has also actively ignored pleas to investigate serious abuse claims, despite my concerted efforts in trying to track him down--I even went so far as to employ my Havanese to try to find Jim! Ha!) It is a good thing for consumers that Ms. Varady has been forced to resign from the BACB Board.
Hopefully, other reforms will be forthcoming from the BACB. The BACB stiff-arms consumers with legitimate concerns by using attorneys to shoo them off.
Yea, It's good thing for consumers.

I had no idea there was a national commission for certifying agencies. Thank you for posting this.
